The NBA has announced the names to participate in various events during All-Star Weekend in two weeks. Zach LaVine will not return to defend his Slam Dunk Contest Championship. Aaron Gordon will however try to win the title he missed out on last year by competing against Glenn Robinson III, Derrick Jones Jr. and DeAndre Jordan.
The three-point contest participants are Klay Thompson, Kyle Lowry, Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker, Eric Gordon, C.J. McCollum, Wesley Matthews and Nick Young. Thompson will look to defend last year’s championship but his teammate Stephen Curry will skip the contest this time.
DeMarcus Cousins, Joel Embiid, Kristaps Porzingis, Anthony Davis, Isaiah Thomas, Gordon Hayward, John Wall and Devin Booker are the competitors for the Skills Challenge.
