The Boston Celtics have made the move of trading Avery Bradley to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Marcus Morris. Boston makes this just a couple of days after signing All-Star Gordon Hayward in free agency. The Celtics clearly felt they needed a forward more than another guard.

Boston is likely to have the starting lineup of Isaiah Thomas, Marcus Smart, Hayward, Morris and Al Horford next season. Bradley was arguably the best two-way player on the Celtics last season and stepped up in the playoffs. Detroit acquiring Bradley also is leading to their intentions of renouncing the rights to free agent Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
