The Los Angeles Clippers will see their two biggest stars hit the free agent market. Blake Griffin and Chris Paul have each notified the Clippers about their decisions to opt out of their contracts. There have been rumors that the two stars have developed friction.
The reports indicate Griffin prefers to play on a different team if Paul return. Los Angeles recently hired Jerry West as an adviser and hope to sign LeBron James next summer.
Paul being a close friend of James makes it likely he is a more important asset than Griffin. The Clippers may need to make a big change one way or the other after the underachieving in attempting to contend for a title.
