The Los Angeles Lakers will need big seasons from both Lonzo Ball and Brook Lopez to contend for a playoff spot in the loaded Western Conference. Lopez was traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Lakers for D’Angelo Russell and Timofey Mozgov. Following an average of 20 points per game last season, Lopez will look to continue his great scoring with Ball as his point guard.
Lopez said the following about playing with Lonzo.
“When you play with a pure point guard like that, it just makes it easier for everyone. He elevates players to a whole other level.
I know it’s going to be great for me, just being on the receiving end of his passes. He’s going to gift-wrap baskets for me. He’s so good at turning other players into impact, amazing players. He’s going to be a transcendent talent.”
Ball is a pass-first point guard and Lopez is the best offensive Lakers star. They should develop great chemistry together.
