The NBA regular season is a month away, and Carmelo Anthony is still on the New York Knicks. Anthony has used his no-trade clause to request the Knicks only speak to the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers about a trade this summer. Houston is the ideal destination to form a new big three with James Harden and Chris Paul, but it doesn’t appear to be close to happening due to contracts not matching.
A new report has indicated that Anthony will allow a trade to the Portland Trail Blazers if the Houston deal can’t get done.
Carmelo Anthony's people are trying a Hail Mary attempt to get him to Houston (Knicks won't do it) … before he accepts a deal to Portland

Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum have hinted about wanting Anthony on their roster. This story is certainly heating up as training camp approaches.
