The Miami Heat have agreed to a contract extension with Josh Richardson for four years at $42 million. Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news of the contract extending with the fourth year being a player option. Richardson is only 24 years old with a world of upside.
An ankle injury only allowed Richardson to play 53 games. Richardson averaged 10.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game last season proving to be effective when on the court. Miami is hoping to rebuild with the new core with Hassan Whiteside, Goran Dragic and Dion Waiters leading the way. Richardson and others will have to step up for the team to make the playoffs.
