Isaiah Thomas gave his all to the Boston Celtics franchise and wanted to spend the rest of his career there. Boston decided to pull the business move of trading him to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Kyrie Irving. Thomas spoke for the first time since the trade revealing his pain.
“Everything about that trade, everything that I was feeling in my heart in those moments — they got it down to the only two things that mattered. And so when I say this hurts, man — just know that it isn’t because of anything anyone else did. It’s only because of something I did. I fell in love with Boston.”
Thomas will have a lot of motivation to have another All-Star season with the Cleveland Cavaliers as they look to contend for an NBA Championship.
