Both Tristan Thompson and J.R. Smith have lost their starting spots to make room for Jae Crowder and Dwyane Wade. The combination of Derrick Rose, Wade, LeBron James, Crowder and Kevin Love will be the starting five on opening night next Tuesday. Smith said he is not going to cause any trouble, but it is frustrating for him to lose the role.
“We talked about it,. It wasn’t the most positive conversation, but we talked about it and we’ll get through it together.”
Cleveland has the strongest depth in the NBA. Smith will lead one of the greatest second units in league history that will give fits to opposing teams.
