The Philadelphia 76ers will have a great three-point shooting veteran on their roster after signing J.J. Redick to a one-year contract. Redick spent the past few seasons as the starting shooting guard of the Los Angeles Clippers. The loss of Chris Paul being traded to the Houston Rockets made it clear Redick would be making a move.
Redick will get $24 million for one season in Philadelphia before returning to the free agent market next summer. It gives him a great salary and the opportunity to move on to a contender next year if he wants to leave the 76ers. Philadelphia gets a veteran presence that can contribute to help the young stars hoping to get to the next level on the roster.
