Joel Embiid played his first basketball game in 257 days last night. A knee injury ruled him out at the end of last season and he was out for the majority of the preseason recovering. Embiid returned last night with a bang in Philadelphia’s win over the Brooklyn Nets.
The 76ers center scored an impressive 22 points on 14 of 18 shooting from the free throw line. Embiid added 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block. This was all done in only 14 minutes on the court.
Embiid may be the key in Philadelphia being able to contend for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference this season.
