The Miami Heat have agreed to sign free agent Kelly Olynyk to a contract worth $50 million over 4 years. Olynyk lost his spot on the Boston Celtics when the team signed Gordon Hayward and couldn’t afford to add his contract with the salary cap. Miami pounced and signed Olynyk just a few days later.
Olynyk has an average of 9.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game throughout his four seasons in the NBA. The Heat are expected to increase his 20 minutes per game career average. Olynyk will play a huge role in the future of the Heat as they hope to make strides forward in the Eastern Conference.
