The New York Knicks desire to trade Carmelo Anthony has officially ended with new management coming in. Steve Perry has been hired as the new Knicks General Manager and apparently isn’t impressed with the franchise’s trade talks. New York has discussed a deal with both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets.
Perry wants to sit down with Anthony and try to sell him on the future of the team before making a move. Anthony was reportedly hoping a trade would get done this week with the Rockets to pair him with Chris Paul and James Harden. It will be interesting to see if anything is settled here before the season starts.
