The San Antonio Spurs are the one team Kyrie Irving is willing to commit to long term if the Cleveland Cavaliers grant his trade request. Irving listed the Spurs, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves as his preferred destinations.
The biggest issue in trade talks would be Cleveland not getting the talent they want back since Irving’s deal expires in a few years. Kyrie would reportedly only sign with the Spurs due to their track record and stability. Any other team trading for him is playing a risky game. It will be hard for the Spurs to find a way to acquire Irving with their current assets.
