LeBron James and Draymond Green have been exchanging trash talk just days after the NBA Finals ended. Green used his time at the NBA Champions parade to call out James for claiming he’s never been on a super team. According to Draymond, LeBron is the one to start the super team.
James replied on the Road Trippin’ With Channing and RJ Podcast with the following comment:
“I mean, in 2003, the Lakers combined Karl Malone, Gary Payton, Shaq (O’Neal) and Kobe (Bryant). In ’96, when (Michael) Jordan was retired, the Rockets joined Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler — all on the same team.
“But I don’t look at it as — I definitely didn’t start the super team, if that’s what he’s trying to say. But I just feel like that it’s great that on the day that you’re celebrating your championship, my likeness and my name is in your head. I love that.”
It didn’t long to start the storyline for next season.
