The Memphis Grizzlies once again failed to get out of the first round of the playoffs last season and Marc Gasol isn’t thrilled about the team’s future. Memphis let veterans Zach Randolph and Vince Carter leave in free agency to join the Sacramento Kings. Neither men are superstars, but each contributed to the Grizzlies.

Gasol recently said the following about the team’s situation in a Croatian interview. Here’s the translation:

“Growth must be maintained. If we do not (we) have to rethink things.”

Memphis is trying to build around Gasol and point guard Mike Conley. Both stars are great, but they need more talent to contend in the Western Conference.
