The Memphis Grizzlies will be without star point Mike Conley for the next six to eight weeks after fracturing vertebrae. Conley suffered the injury during Monday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets in the third quarter. This is a huge blow to Memphis as they attempt to compete for a playoff in the Western Conference.
Conley recently signed a record breaking five-year deal worth $153 million in the summer. The Grizzlies clearly viewed him as the man to lead their team. It will be tough for them to stay in contention without Conley for the next two months.
