The NBA revealed some of the high profile games for the upcoming season. Christmas Day is the biggest regular season day of the season and these are the five games scheduled:

Sixers @ Knicks

Cavaliers @ Warriors

Wizards @ Celtics

Rockets @ Thunder

Timberwolves @ Lakers

The opening week slate of games were also announced for the first few primetime schedules of the season.

October 17: Celtics @ Cavs, Rockets @ Warriors

October 18: 76ers @ Wizards, Timberwolves @ Spurs

October 19: Knicks @ Thunder, Clippers @ Lakers

October 20: Cavaliers @ Bucks, Warriors @ Pelicans

The season is starting earlier than usual. Most NBA seasons started towards the end of October or beginning of November around Halloween. This change will see it start in mid-October with the hopes of a few more rest days meaning stars won’t sit out as much.
