Most NBA stars like LeBron James come from very humble beginnings, which inspires them to give back and to give hope. They’re usually looking out for the city they came from and the city where their current team is located.

Russell Westbrook – Russell Westbrook Why Not? Foundation
The mission of the Russell Westbrook Why Not? Foundation is to inspire the lives of children, empower them to ask “Why Not?” and teach them to never give up.
The foundation works to help children that are facing hardships of any kind and when faced with that adversity fight to succeed and to never give up.
Russell Westbrook and his brother were taught to ask “Why Not?” every time they were told they could not do something. It is this encouragement and strength that Russell and his family want to spread to children across the country.

Dwyane Wade – Wade’s World Foundation
The Wade’s World Foundation provides support to community-based organizations that promote education, health and social skills for children in at-risk situations. Dwyane was inspired to start the foundation because he wanted to give back to underserved communities and support issues of purpose. “I can’t just let basketball define who I am and what I am supposed to become,” said Wade. “Like my mother always tells me, ‘My life is bigger than basketball.’”
Since 2003, Dwyane and his family have been dedicated to giving back to their core communities in the Chicago and South Florida areas through a variety of community outreach programs. As the WWF continues to develop and expand, the mission is to touch young lives around the globe.
Chris Bosh – Team Tomorrow Inc.
Team Tomorrow Inc. is dedicated to supporting community-based organizations that promote the upliftment of children, families and the community.
Dwight Howard – D12 Foundation

Deron Williams – Point of Hope Foundation
Deron and Amy Williams pride themselves on Point of Hope’s vision to create unique opportunities to raise funds that can directly impact the lives of children in need. The foundation has supported cancer research, different scholarship funds, single mother organizations, Boys & Girls Club, and a number of different children organizations through grants and donations.
Most recently, Point of Hope has partnered with Autism Speaks to raise awareness and funds for the cause. Deron is an ambassador for the organization and has hosted several events benefiting children and families affected by autism.
