The NBA has announced that two games will take place in Mexico this upcoming season. Both games will feature the Brooklyn Nets. Brooklyn faces the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 7th and the Miami Heat on December 9th. The NBA has become a global brand and wants to give new places a chance to experience the live games.

London has hosted games consistently in the past but the flights would negatively impact the players having to fly out and back while going through the wear and tear of the season. A flight to Mexico City from New York is shorter than one to California likely erasing said negatives.
