Nicolas Batum received some good news for both him and the Charlotte Hornets fan base regarding his elbow injury. Early fears were that Batum would need surgery and would be forced to miss 8 to 12 weeks recovering. A specialist informed Batum that he didn’t need the surgery and could just rehab.
Charlotte is now hoping for a 6 to 8 week timetable before Batum can return to the court. The Hornets are hoping to make a run in the playoffs after acquiring Dwight Howard in the offseason. Batum is the second best player on Charlotte’s roster after Kemba Walker, and they need him to step up.
