Carmelo Anthony is still on the trade block and only has the strong desire to join the Houston Rockets. The New York Knicks may want to trade him to other teams, but Anthony’s no-trade clause prevents it. Anthony only wants to be traded to the Rockets and is reportedly unwilling to approve any other moves.
Adrian Wojnarowski reported the following:
“The New York Knicks and Houston Rockets have re-engaged on trade talks involving 10-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony, with the Rockets again canvassing third-team trade partners to construct a deal, league sources told ESPN.
Anthony remains steadfast that he only plans to waive his no-trade clause for the Rockets and refuses to expand his list to include more possible destinations, league sources said.”
There are reports that the Knicks are willing to start the season with Anthony on the roster and getting a deal done during the season.
