The injury to Rudy Gobert a few seconds into Game 1 of the Utah Jazz first round series against the Los Angeles Clippers looked terrifying. Gobert’s inability to stand up made Jazz fans fear his season was over. An MRI showed the injury isn’t serious but he will still have to miss some time.
Utah’s superstar center suffered a hyperextension and bone bruise on his left knee. Gobert is definitely missing Game 2 but has hopes of returning for Game 3 when the series comes to Utah. The Jazz stealing Game 1 on the road with a game-winning buzzer beater by Joe Johnson makes it less pivotal for Gobert to play in Game 2.
