Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry and Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker were named the NBA Players of the Week. NBA.com reports the two point guards were awarded as being the best players on the week of Monday, March 7 through Sunday, March 13.
Curry averaged 30.5 points, 5.8 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 2.25 steals per game. Golden State had a perfect 4-0 week led by Curry’s performance. The Warriors have improved to 60-6 and are getting closer to chasing history behind Curry’s MVP season.
Charlotte went 4-0 as well and appear to be playoff-bound in the East behind the leadership of Walker. He averaged 27.8 points, 6.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds during the week as the Hornets rolled.
