The Minnesota Timberwolves have made another big change after acquiring Jimmy Butler last week. Minnesota traded point guard Ricky Rubio to the Utah Jazz in exchange for a 2018 first-round pick. Rubio will replace George Hill as the point guard for the Jazz franchise after six years on the Timberwolves.
Minnesota added a new point guard as free agency started. Jeff Teague will be the new starting point guard for the Timberwolves after the two parties agreed to a contract. Teague signed with Minnesota for 3 years at $57 million. Jimmy Butler, Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins all handling the ball at different times will likely lead to Teague not having to play a traditional point guard.
